NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has reportedly suggested a plan to member states to increase defense spending to 3.5% of GDP, with an additional 1.5% allocated to other defense-related expenditures. This proposal is seen as an attempt to meet Donald Trump’s demand for a 5% spending target.
