Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has delayed his upcoming trip to Azerbaijan, as announced by his office on Saturday. This decision is influenced by recent events in Gaza and Syria.
The prime minister’s office also mentioned the ‘busy diplomatic and security agenda’ and indicated that the visit will be rescheduled, although a new date has not been provided.
Netanyahu was originally set to travel to Azerbaijan from May 7-11, where he was anticipated to meet with President Ilham Aliyev. Israel and Azerbaijan share strong security and energy relationships.
