Another day, another (fake) celebrity arrest. At least that’s what goes down in Sabrina Carpenter’s world. The ‘Espresso’ singer is on the last leg of her Short n’ Sweet World Tour, and hot off the heels of five sold-out shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden. (Picture: Instagram/nicolekidman)
Sabrina fans will know that her tour comes with many fun — and cheeky — skits, including the now-iconic arresting scene during the song ‘Juno’. The recurring bit sees her jokingly arrest an audience member (who is usually famous) for being ‘too hot’. Using a pair of ‘fuzzy pink handcuffs,’ an ode to a line in the song, she then pans the camera to the detainee, who always plays up for the camera and always kills it. Past and recent celebs have included Gigi Hadid, Salma Hayek, Anne Hathaway, and Drew Barrymore. (Picture: Instagram/nicolekidman)
Of course, just like her recent Vogue World runway debut, Nicole didn’t disappoint. Referencing the actor’s 1998 movie, Practical Magic, Sabrina said: ‘We come to this Nashville arena for magic. And speaking of magic…’ Nicole then appeared on the screens around the stadium, to which thousands of fans burst into applause. Underneath the live feed, the screen read: ‘Arrested for being too hot.’ The 58-year-old looked unreal in a fitted red T-shirt, and wore her signature blonde locks in waves as she got into character. Following the event, Nicole shared her experience on social media. ‘Thank you Sabrina Carpenter for arresting me. Call me when you move to Nashville,’ she captioned the video. Nicole and Keith’s daughter, Sunday Rose, also took to Instagram as her mum’s hype woman. Posting a video of the arrest, she typed: ‘Someone’s in trouble.’ Sunday also shared a message Nicole sent to her before the concert, which read: ‘Hi Baby, I’m heading down to be arrested.x’ (Picture: Instagram/nicolekidman)
In September, it was revealed that Nicole and Keith were separating after almost 20 years together. Despite a source telling People that Nicole — who had been living apart from Keith since the summer — didn’t want the split and was ‘fighting to save the marriage,’ it was the actress who filed for divorce. Nicole and Keith first met in January 2005 at the G’Day USA gala in Los Angeles, an event celebrating Australians in Hollywood. In May 2006, they announced their engagement. The pair wed a month later in an intimate but lavish ceremony at St. Patrick’s Estate in Sydney. They were surrounded by their nearest and dearest, including a string of celebrity guests, including Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, and Naomi Watts. More light was recently shed on the former couple’s divorce, regarding the unusual custody agreements of their children. In court documents obtained by the Daily Mail and signed by the former couple, Nicole and Keith agreed that she should have custody of the girls for 306 days of the year. Keith will only receive 59 days with them. His time has been scheduled as 10am on Saturdays until 6pm on Sundays every other weekend. Sunday and Faith will live with their mother for the rest of the time. (Picture: Getty Images)
