A Met detective has appeared in court accused of sexually assaulting a fellow officer at a north London bar.
Detective Sergeant Kenneth Dunn, 49, allegedly put his hand up the woman’s shirt at the venue in Camden in October last year.
The officer, who works in the Central North Command unit, denies the charge.
He was off duty at the time of the incident.
Dunn elected a Crown Court trial in a hearing in front of deputy chief magistrate Tan Ikram at Westminster Magistrates’ Court this morning.
The prosecutor told the court the allegation was that: ‘He placed his hand on her waist and moved his hand under her shirt.’
The case was adjourned until a hearing at Wood Green Crown Court on April 13.
DS Dunn, from Wickford in Essex, has been suspended from duty. He was released on bail ahead of the next hearing.
