Kerry Katona’s boyfriend left Dubai early after the couple joined Katie Price and Lee Andrews on their honeymoon, reportedly after a punch-up that has since been denied.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Kerry, 45, had flown out to Dubai to ‘gatecrash’ her close friend’s honeymoon with her partner Paolo Margaglione, 33.
But on Tuesday, it was claimed that there had been a disagreement between Katie, 47, and Kerry’s partners that had turned physical while they were out together in Dubai, with things getting ‘very heated’ in a public part of the hotel where Kerry and Paolo were staying.
Katie has since denied this and said there has ‘not been any punch-ups.’
It comes after an onlooker told The Sun: ‘Lee was having some cross words with Katie. He was acting in what appeared to be an aggressive manner.’
They claimed that when Paolo ‘stepped in’, Katie’s husband ‘seemed to be very angry and was shouting at him’.
They continued: ‘It all got very heated and Lee threw some punches and one of them landed Paolo square on the head.’
According to the publication, Kerry wasn’t present for the reported altercation, which’erupted very quickly’ and by which Katie ‘seemed shocked’.
An insider also alleged that the incident had resulted in close friends Katie and Kerry’s relationship, which was recently on display during their UK tour together, becoming ‘strained’.
This came after Kerry had written about their holiday catch-up for her column just days ago, revealing that she and Paolo had ‘travelled to Dubai for a romantic getaway for our first Valentine’s Day’.
According to The Mirror, they simply had ‘a mega-quick 20-minute catch up’ with Katie and Lee, before Paolo left early.
‘Unfortunately, during the trip, Paolo had to go back to the UK for a work emergency. I got to spend literally 14 hours with him before he had to leave, which meant I was left alone in Dubai, which we were both gutted about.’
The couple was posting together on Instagram on Tuesday night as they lay in bed together, after reports broke of the alleged fight, promising there was something ‘very exciting’ coming next week that they couldn’t talk about just yet, with Paolo calling it ‘a full 360-moment’.
Katie stunned fans and family alike when she announced in January that she was engaged for the ninth time, before marrying Dubai-based businessman Lee – now her fourth husband – days later after a whirlwind romance.
Since then, the former glamour model has appeared to claim that she and Lee were starting a family together, hitting out at his ex in a rant on Instagram where she added: ‘Please just enjoy watching us build our empire as I’m having his child.’
This latest development left Katie’s family concerned too, with a source telling Metro it was ‘extreme even for her’ as this was ‘the first time anyone has heard of a pregnancy’.
Kerry had previously branded Katie ‘absolutely bonkers’ for tying the knot with Lee so quickly, but said she would ‘love and support her no matter what she does’.
When contacted by Metro previously, Kerry Katona and Paolo Margaglione declined to comment on reports of a physical altercation. A representative for Katie Price told Metro that they have been informed the report isn’t true.
