Rihanna is putting new security in place at her home after a woman fired several shots at the property while she was inside.

On Sunday, police were called to the pop star’s Beverly Hills home after neighbours heard the gunshots in the usually quiet area.

Ivanna Ortiz, 35, has since been arrested and charged with attempted murder and is currently being held on $10,200,000 (£7.6m) bail.

Rihanna’s partner A$AP Rocky is not thought to have been home at the time, but it is unclear whether their three children – RZA, three, Riot, two, and Rocki, five months – were.

A source told People the Umbrella singer is ‘freaking the f**k out’ after the terrifying incident, but she is unharmed.

‘Rihanna heard the shots, but was initially confused about what happened,’ a second insider added. ‘Even with a great security team in place, it’s scary to realise that something like this can still happen.’

Ortiz was pulled over around eight miles (12km) from the house, with LAPD claiming they found an assault rifle and casings in her car at the time.

A white Tesla had sped away from the street after ’10 shots’ were fired, and was identified using CCTV and a helicopter, with Ortiz arrested around 30 minutes after the incident.

Other videos, titled ‘Praying Woman’s Journal’, see her rambling incoherently as she brands Rihanna a ‘witch’.

In one post last month, she directly tagged the Work singer, asking: ‘Are you there? Cause I was waiting for your AIDS 5-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you’re talking to me where I’m not at.’

She also shared a picture of Drake captioned: ‘When Drake found out Rihanna has AIDS.’

There is no indication that any of her claims are true, and Ortiz also takes aim at other celebrities, including Kim Kardashian.

Rihanna and her husband A$AP have not publicly addressed the incident yet, but they reportedly ‘don’t know much’.

She reportedly left LA on a small private jet hours after the arrest, although it’s unclear if this was a prearranged plan or in response to the shooting.
