Beckham brothers Romeo and Cruz have debuted new poignant tattoos following Brooklyn’s cover-ups.
All three boys are heavily inked, having begun following in dad Sir David Beckham’s tattooed footsteps from pretty much the moment they were legally allowed to.
Much like David, they all have designs dedicated to their loved ones, but in recent months, after growing apart from his parents, budding chef Brooklyn has started covering his up.
It began with a chest tattoo dedicated to mum Victoria Beckham, reading ‘Mama’s boy’, which he covered up last June with a sketch of wife Nicola Peltz’s wedding flowers instead in a clear display of where his loyalties lie.
Now, sources say the 26-year-old has been under the laser, trying to erase his ‘Dad’ writing in an anchor on his arm. It seems he later decided to cover up the letters with symbols.
But while Brooklyn rewrites (or re-inks) history, his brothers are only adding to their sentimental tattoo collections.
This weekend, model Romeo, 23, showed off the word ‘Family’ tattooed on the back of his neck, sitting above a cross and pair of angel wings.
Fine Line Hearts Club, a tattoo studio in London, posted pictures of his new ink on their Instagram page, having worked on both brothers several times before, as well as other celebrities.
Commenters were quick to acknowledge the irony of Romeo’s new ‘Family’ tattoo, given how Brooklyn issued a scathing takedown of ‘Brand Beckham’ last month and accused them of ‘inauthentic relationships’.
@laursy.p believed Romeo was making a ‘b****y dig’, while @katie_b1985 joked: ‘Minus Brooklyn 🤣’
‘funny timing that’, @_dollhon also commented.
Meanwhile, younger bro Cruz, 20, has clearly felt inspired by the loved-up men in his life, with Brooklyn and dad David both boasting plenty of tattoos for their wives. Brooklyn has his vows on his arm, among others, while David has Victoria’s name.
Now, the musician, who is set to drop his new single soon, has added a small ‘J’ on his ribs in tribute to girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30, who also went under the needle for some cursive writing on her side.
The pair first declared their love to the online world in October 2024, having been spotted together at Glastonbury that summer.
Fellow musician and model Jackie, along with Romeo’s girlfriend, DJ Kim Turnbull, has been well and truly welcomed into the Beckham clan, attending various events with the family and recently putting on a united front with them at Paris Fashion Week.
In contrast, Brooklyn remains in the States with Nicola, having declared that he ‘does not wish to reconcile’ with his family, having claimed his parents ‘controlled’ him from an early age and then became ‘disrespectful’ to Nicola.
Irrespective of the rift, though, David has no plans to cover up his own tattoos.
In the midst of the countless tattoos he has for his kids is Brooklyn’s nickname, plus his name in full across his lower back.
He also has ‘We love you, Daddy’ in his children’s handwriting.
After telling The Sun that Brooklyn wanted his tattoo for his dad ‘gone’, a source added: ‘David still has his tribute to Brooklyn, his nickname Buster on his neck, and has no plans to cover it up.’
It’s been said that David – who is ‘heartbroken’ over Brooklyn’s latest move – and Victoria would take their eldest back ‘in a minute’, with an insider telling People last month that they are ‘afraid’ of losing him for good.
‘They love Brooklyn and are horrified about everything.’
A second source said Posh and Becks believe their strained relationship with Brooklyn could ‘heal with time’ but they ‘can’t really do anything until then’.
It’s reported that neither Brooklyn nor Nicola speaks to David or Victoria now, having only done so recently through mediators.
