Scarlett Moffatt is returning to I’m A Celebrity in a bid to be the first campmate to win the show twice — but this time she may have endured much more drama the second time around.
The former Gogglebox star was crowned Queen of the Jungle all the way back in 2016, marking a decade since she went from being famous for watching television to never being off it.
She’ll be joining the likes of fellow winner Harry Redknapp, as well as Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts, Corrie legend Beverley Callard and Olympian Sir Mo Farah when I’m A Celebrity returns for its second all-star series, which was filmed in South Africa last year.
The full line-up of huge names having their second shot at the toughest show on TV was announced at a special event at London’s Ham Yard Hotel and, as someone who was there watching the cast’s chemistry, on the surface it looked as though every campmate got on like a house on fire.
Scarlett, however, appeared to confirm otherwise.

Host of the event and former I’m A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson is a reality star veteran. He knows exactly how quickly friendships can evaporate once the cameras stop rolling and asked the cast if the WhatsApp group was still going strong or, as is often the case, ‘everyone is out of that group in a month’.
Anxiously looking around at her campmates, Scarlett candidly admitted: ‘I think that’s what’s happened with this group. I don’t want to burst the bubble — let’s not lie on stage.
‘I think, naturally, in any sort of social setting you are drawn to certain people over others, but we did all get on.’
Pulling an awkward face, she explained: ‘I mean, there were peaks and troughs…’
Unsurprisingly, Scarlett didn’t mention names but all will become clear when the series launches.
I was among the lucky few to watch a first-look clip of said drama and there was one campmate who was ready to erupt. Late entry Gemma Collins warns one celeb: ‘I’m not a joke, darling.’
While Scarlett played coy when it came to who might be the source of said drama, she simply said: ‘I don’t know who’s been announced, I don’t know if I can mention you’ll know I’m on about when she comes in and I was like, “This is amazing…”’
As the GC is the only female latecomer, there’s no way she could be talking about anyone else…
Scarlett isn’t just I’m A Celebrity royalty — after Ant and Dec, she’s probably appeared on I’m A Celebrity more than anyone else, hosting Extra Camp and the I’m A Celebrity… South Africa podcast with Seann Walsh, another top name who will be joining her in the South African bush.
In her introduction VT, when asked why she was entering the show as a competitor for a second time, she was frank: ‘I’d love a new kitchen.’
‘I actually am getting that done in June,’ she laughed at the launch. ‘At least I’m honest, right? Obviously, we all do because we love it but we also need the pay our mortgage somehow. If we somehow can do that by eating a few kangaroo testies, why not?’
Talking of testies, Ant and Dec confirmed this series will see the longest eating challenge in I’m A Celebrity history, coming in at an absolutely revolting five hours.
Despite whatever differences the stars had in camp, they all agreed on one thing: this is the hardest series of I’m A Celeb to date.
Adam Thomas said: ‘I went in there thinking it was going to be like the first time that we did it, but it was completely different compared to the last series I did.
‘This was so much tougher – the trials, the challenges, everything – and although I did quite a lot of trials in the first series, these trials were so much bigger and harder than ever before.
’It was tough, there’s no denying that but it’s just amazing to be back after 10 years.’
Unlike the first all-star series, this time the public will get the chance to vote for their I’m A Celebrity legend.
While the series was filmed back in 2025, the cast will be reunited in the UK to discover who the public has crowned their champion after Myleene Klass won the first series by wiping the floor with runner-up Jordan Banjo in an eating challenge.
This time around, the gloves are off. Ant explained: ‘They’re competitors, they want to become legends.’
Dec agreed: ‘The very nature of doing the show this way as well is that they’re all very strong characters that are in there. They are all very sure of themselves. You put a mix together, and you have knowledge as to how each of them are going to react, so it was very interesting to get them all in there.
‘In Australia the last few years everybody’s really gotten on – not anymore.’
I’m A Celebrity… South Africa returns to ITV in April.
