It’s fair to say that, when it comes to accommodating British snacking habits, M&S is usually right on the money.
The supermarket is constantly going viral for its quirky food innovations, from the beloved M&S Speckled Egg Cookies to the Sunny Side Up Whips.
Now, though, the internet has a new M&S-flavoured hyperfixation: the frozen Chocolate Fruits. Yep, we’re salivating, too.
This one’s seen the brand hop on the chocolate-covered fruit trend, with three flavours to choose from: strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry. They’re double-dipped in two silky layers of chocolate, revealing a delicious, half-frozen fruit piece underneath.
And while the strawberry and blueberry flavours have both milk chocolate and white chocolate, the raspberry feature 85% dark chocolate packed on top of white chocolate, for an alternative flavour palette.
Naturally, these aren’t for consumption straightaway, as M&S suggests leaving them out of the freezer for between 10 and 15 minutes before biting into them. Trust us, it’s worth saving yourself the brain freeze here.
In terms of price, each 150g packet goes for £5.75 a pop. And while they’re not the cheapest, they’ve already got a dedicated fanbase.
Over on TikTok, @shercyrusx said: ‘They might just be the best chocolate strawberries I’ve ever had…I literally have no complaints.
‘I can’t believe how nice they are….absolutely delicious. M&S is really coming through for us lately.’
‘M&S have done it again,’ @ellietadd added, describing the treats as the ‘best snacks for summer.’
@discoballmum rated them a 10/10 and said they were ‘worth every bit of the hype.’ She added: ‘Better run to the frozen aisle before they’re gone.’
On Instagram, @lucykatefrances said she was ‘running to M&S’ for a taste of these sweet treats, while @no1mumzy said that every single week, the brand comes out with ‘something else I have to have.’

@kittyrosestuart888 joked: ‘This is going to count towards one of my five a day,’ and @prettyplantpowered begged for a ‘vegan version.’
M&S isn’t the only name to hop on the frozen fruit train of late. Lidl also sells chocolate-covered frozen strawberries, which fans have compared to more premium picks like Hidden Fruits and trüfrü.
At Tesco, the latter costs £6 for a 200g packet, which works out at a similar price range to M&S, when you consider the cost per kilo.
However, Lidl’s pick is slightly easier on the wallet, at £3.99 for a 100g bag.
What else has M&S been cooking up lately?
Joining the Chocolate Fruits in shops are the Milk Chocolate Malt Balls, which Metro‘s specialist food writer, Courtney Pochin, put to the test.
An own-brand version of Maltesers, the snacks have joined M&S’s Pick ‘N’ Marks range. They feature a crunchy malt centre, and they’re wrapped in Belgian chocolate.
The team at M&S reportedly spent more than a year working on the sweet treat, ‘perfecting’ the recipe using malted barley flour, as well as ‘premium’ Fairtrade cocoa and cocoa butter.
At £2.50 for 120g, the supermarket version is a little pricier than Maltesers, which are £1.75 for 93g currently at Tesco and Aldi, though you are getting a bit more for your money at M&S.
Dunked N’ Loaded Doughnuts also hit the bakery shelves recently, in flavours such as Strawberry & Matcha, Chocolate, Pistachio, and Lemon Curd.
And there are plenty of other Easter goodies available, including tiramisu and red velvet hot cross buns, Dippy Egg Cookie Cups and £18 filled Easter eggs.
