When it comes to skincare in your 30s, it can be a bit of a minefield. With most brands aimed at those in their teens, 20s, 40s, 50s and 60s – it’s often a bracket that’s left out – and sadly, we can’t rely on those standard moisturisers we’ve been using since our youth…

Thankfully, that’s where No7’s new Prime Forever, launching today (April 8) comes in, as it’s been created for anyone who wants to get ahead of the ageing process, rather than play catch‑up.

Research shows that our 30s are when visible ageing speeds up dramatically, so the brand has poured its incredible science knowledge, into a range designed to preserve skin – before fine lines and texture changes fully settle in – and my face couldn’t be more grateful.

Now I was one of the lucky few to be handed a lab sample back in January of this year, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s been a total game-changer for my skin. And that’s probably thanks to the star ingredient across the range, the Antioxidant Peptide Blend.

Now, like me, peptides have been ‘name dropped’ (shall we say) a lot this year, but in the Prime Forever range, it’s basically a supercharged mix of antioxidants and peptides that help prevent the kind of invisible damage that shows up years later as dullness, enlarged pores or uneven texture.

For me? Even though the entire range makes my skin look hydrated, ‘glass-like’ and glowing, I have to say the No7 Prime Forever™ Preservation Serum, priced at £47.95 for 50ml, is the standout.

When No7 tested this hero product, it reduced oxidative stress seven times over, which is one of the big drivers of premature ageing.

To us that aren’t scientists, and fully understand what that means? It helps keep skin calmer, brighter, smoother and less prone to long‑term wear‑and‑tear. Pretty good right?

As for the No7 Prime Forever™ SPF50 Primer 50ml, for £24.95? Wow. The consistency is thiiiick, and so luxurious when you apply it to the skin.

We know (or at least should), SPF needs to be worn daily, and No7 found that using it consistently from age 30 to 80 could cut UV exposure from 50 years down to just six – and because sun exposure causes up to 80% of prema are ageing, that’s a huge deal.

If you’re not already doing so, or have an SPF in your skincare routine, think of it as an ‘insurance policy for your face’, but without the usual chalky SPF feel. Honestly, my skin is glowing, I almost feel bad dabbing my foundation on top! Thankfully the gleam still comes through – and I never look oily either.

The new No7 Prime Forever™ Weightless Moisturiser 50ml, for £37.95, is a real winner too – impressively lightweight, considering it promises 100 hours of hydration, and it sinks in quickly.

Another complete bonus for those of us who only have a few minutes in the morning to get ready.

As for the feeling? It’s fresh, and gives skin that soft, healthy finish that sits well under makeup. I should know, as I have been inundated with questions as to how I’ve recently got my skin to look so dewy, hydrated and avoid my makeup slipping all over the place, by the end of day too.

You’ll also find two other great products in the Prime Forever range from No7 – No7 Prime Forever™ Transformative Gel-Oil-Milk Cleanser 150ml (£19.95) that melts from gel to oil to milk, doing the job of a double cleanse in one go without leaving skin tight. And the No7 Prime Forever™ Reusable Silicone Under-Eye Patches 2 Patches (£17.95) are a clever add‑on; pop them over the serum to help de‑puff tired eyes and boost absorption.

Overall, I’ve never been a full-routine beauty gal – I’ll usually slap a serum, and SPF on, from whatever is open in my current collection. But now? I’m not sure I could leave the house without the products. Prime Forever feels like No7 at its best: science‑heavy formulas that still feel totally wearable and uncomplicated.

So if you’re starting to think about keeping your skin looking smoother for longer – without spending luxury‑brand money – this range genuinely earns its space in your bathroom cabinet.

And for a limited time, you can save £10 off each of these incredible No7 products.
