Unhinged Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) is at it again in Coronation Street next week, but she may not last much longer as a suspicious Weatherfield youngster makes a discovery about her.

Shortly after she arrived, it became apparent that Jodie hates her sister Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), who left the family home when she became a teen mum.

It left us under the impression she was going to focus on destroying Shona’s life in a revenge plan, but Jodie seems quite interested in making other Weatherfield residents’ lives hell as well.

Last week, Jodie clashed with Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove), who told her off for getting an order wrong in the café.

She took revenge by feeding Mal Roper’s (Tim Treloar) assumption that they have a romantic connection, but it’s now been revealed that she also broke into her house and cut her face out of wedding pictures.

An image of Bernie was added to a box that belongs to Jodie. Inside are other random items, which appear to be trophies.

Among the objects, eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted the evidence of another crime that has left a second Corrie legend shaken.

Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) has been completely beside himself ever since he discovered that his beloved copy of The Woman in White had been stolen. He caused quite a stir when he accused Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) of the theft, and she adamantly stood by her innocence.

We can’t deny that it was a fair assumption to make, given that Hope had overheard Brian and Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) talking about her troubled past and serial killer dad on the day of the theft.

Add to that her history of arson and general enjoyment of other people’s suffering, and it’s easy to see why she was Brian’s first port of call. Even sister Ruby Dobbs (Billie Naylor) thought she’d done it!

However, the real culprit was revealed to be Jodie – who seems to get a thrill from causing misery.

In upcoming episodes, the Platt family arrive at the hospital to support David (Jack P Shepherd) and Shona, who are there for Harper’s operation.

Having found out that Harper has suffered a minor bleed, David loses his temper at his family and orders them to leave.

Jodie hugs David and then heads out, where she passes a new Mum. The woman assumes that Jodie is Shona and that David is her husband, but will she put her straight?

Later in the week, Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft Gardner) discovers Jodie’s secret box under the stairs. She’s puzzled to find the cut out photo of Bernie and also Brian’s book.

Meanwhile, the mum from the day before approaches Jodie and enquires about Harper. As Jodie talks about her daughter’s operation, she is horrified to realise Shona is standing right behind her.

‘It definitely raised a red flag, but Jodie is a very skilled manipulator and a quick liar’, star Julia Goulding said as she discussed this moment.

‘Shona is so emotionally on her knees that she simply doesn’t have the capacity to take on any more drama. She just brushes it off because she’s too exhausted to fight it. Jodie is so good at talking her way out of things that Shona ends up believing her. It’s hard to get into that headspace sometimes because it feels so risky, but Shona just wants to trust her sister.’

When Jodie returns to the Platts, Lily confronts her about the picture and Brian’s book, but how on earth will she explain this?
