It’s thought that roughly 14 million people watch porn online in the UK.
Each viewer will likely have their own sexual preferences, kinks and fetishes, which will impact the kind of content they search for and consume.
But if you’ve ever wondered how your porn-viewing habits compare to those around you, we’ve now got an answer.
This is because new analysis has revealed the top 10 hotspots where people in the UK are searching for porn the most, and it’s Newcastle upon Tyne, England’s northernmost city, that’s number one on the list.
The team over at MedExpress have named the top 10 porn hotspots in the UK, where people made the most porn-related searches online over the last year.
The online pharmacy analysed searches for 10 key porn-related terms, including ‘porn’, ‘AI porn’, ‘lesbian porn’, ‘bukkake’ and ‘threesome’ and measured them against per capita data (per person) to compile the list.
Newcastle was crowned the ‘most porn-obsessed’ city in the UK as it had the most searches per person, with an average of 3.27 Google searches per head, per month.
This works out as a whopping 629,260 Google searches overall on average each month.

In second place was Wells in Somerset, with 2.9 average monthly searches per person (32,900 overall), and Manchester with 2.52 searches per person on average (997,140 overall).
Durham and Salford rounded out the top five, with Plymouth, Norwich, Newry, Birmingham and Wrexham also making it into the top 10.
London fell just outside of this at number 11 with 1.78 searches per person.
At the other end of the scale, Cambridge was found to be the least porn-obsessed city, with only 0.06 monthly searches per person.
Nottingham was also at the lower end with 0.08 monthly searches per person and Carlisle had 0.15 searches.
This comes after Birmingham was named as one of the kinkiest places in the world.
A new study from Australian sexual wellness company Pleasure Chest analysed a number of different variables to come up with the results.
For example, things such as the number of ‘sex toy’ searches, searches for ‘BDSM’, sex toy market sales per capita, the number of sex-related events, and the number of sex shops were all taken into consideration.
These results were then filtered into a ‘kink rank’ which sorted the top global cities for sexual exploration and wellness.
London was the only other UK destination to make the global ranking, edging in just in time at 20th position.
