Tom Curry was forced to miss England’s Six Nations match against Italy on Saturday after suffering an injury in the warm-up.
The 27-year-old appeared to suffer the injury during a driving maul and was visibly limping as he was helped off the pitch by two of England’s medical team.
Curry has been replaced in the starting line-up by Sam Underhill, while Chandler Cunningham-South is on the bench.
Steve Borthwick had already made nine changes to his starting side for the game against Italy at the Stadio Olimpico.
England’s hopes of winning the Six Nations are all but over after heavy defeats to Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.
Defeat for England in Rome against Italy on Saturday without registering any points would leave Borthwick’s side in danger of finishing bottom of the Six Nations for the first time.
