Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, known as ‘ICE Barbie’, has officially heard Donald Trump’s famous words ‘You’re fired.’

The US President was unhappy with Noem after her testimony in front of the House and Senate this week, and announced that ‘ICE Barbie’ has been replaced by Senator Markwayne Mullin.

Trump wrote on Truth Social: ‘The current Secretary, Kristi Noem, who has served us well, and has had numerous and spectacular results (especially on the Border!), will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas.

Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer had a few words for Noem, telling reporters: ‘Good riddance.’

Her response to a question from the House and Senate this week about a multi-million dollar ad campaign which encouraged immigrants to self-deport left the president ‘pissed’, one source claimed.

Noem claimed Trump knew about the ad campaigns, which White House officials quickly rebuked.

‘I can assure you, he is not happy with her,’ one source said. ‘She did horribly in the hearings and has made a lot of errors.’

Her public hearing also saw her chastised by North Carolina Representative Thom Tillis for killing her puppy.

In her 2024 memoir, Noem wrote about how she shot and killed her puppy, Cricket, because he was ‘untrainable’.

Tillis told her: ‘You decided to kill that dog because you had not invested the appropriate time in training. And then you have the audacity to go into a book and say it’s a leadership lesson about tough choices?’

She also faced pressure for the statement she released after ICE agents shot and killed American citizen Alex Pretti in Minnesota.

Trump described his new pick for DHS Secretary as doing a ‘tremendous job’.

He wrote on Truth Social: ‘As the only Native American in the Senate, Markwayne is a fantastic advocate for our incredible Tribal Communities. Markwayne will work tirelessly to keep our Border Secure, Stop Migrant Crime, Murderers, and other Criminals from illegally entering our Country, end the Scourge of Illegal Drugs and, MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN.

‘Markwayne will make a spectacular Secretary of Homeland Security. Thank you for your attention to this matter!’

Markwayne is a 48-year-old Republican Senator representing Oklahoma. He previously served ten years in the House of Representatives.

He’s previously backed Trump initiatives, including his ‘Big Beautiful Bill’, which cut funding for Medicaid fraud.
