Woman who ‘died’ says she saw the future – and some of it has already come true

In 2015, Angela Harris was a teacher and a mother to young children when she found herself in hospital due to a variety of health issues. She was placed on a tilt table and just 18 minutes into the medical tests, she went into seizures as her vital signs plummeted. What is a near death experience?

A near death experience (NDE) can happen when someone is considered clinically dead or close to death. Usually, these experiences are positive and people tend to report seeing their life in a different perspective when they wake up. Hallmarks of NDEs include seeing your life flash before your eyes, walking through a tunnel, and seeing loved ones that have passed away. Sometimes they can be traumatic, where people report seeing demons or being in hell, often triggering a major life change. But for Angela, she saw something else (Picture: Getty)

Speaking on the YouTube channel The Other Side NDE, she explained that she had an out-of-body experience – which is common – and had 360 degree vision of her surroundings. She said: ‘I immediately was looking at myself so I didn’t notice that I went into seizures, I just didn’t feel well and then suddenly I was looking at my own face, and I didn’t really recognise myself. I didn’t care that I was looking at myself, I didn’t care about my body, I didn’t care that I was dead, all I felt was release from the pain that I had been in’ (Picture: Angela Harris)
But she also felt love. She said: ‘l felt all the love that everyone talks about on the other side. I came home to my true self and I felt at peace and all at that time simultaneously I was realising I was in the same space as my husband who was in this tiny little medical room with me while I was hooked up to all these machines monitoring my vital signs watching his wife die.’ She says she saw a nurse come in to monitor her as she moved backwards to the corner of the room, where she saw a ‘black velvety void’ she went into (Picture: Getty)
When she was in the void, she says could not hear anything. The void had no edges, but seemed soft, with Angela saying that if she could have touched it, it would have been something like velvet. Angela said: ‘I felt at peace, I felt comfortable. The space, to me and my perception, was calming, it wasn’t fearful.’ And she claims she wasn’t alone (Picture: Getty)
Angela explained: ‘There was a woman, known as Melanie. She’s fantastic, she was continuing conversation and it was like knowing your best friend your whole life, and you’re hanging out with them and you’re chatting. That’s what it felt like to me and it wasn’t about: “Hey you just died, are you doing okay?”, it was more like those thoughts you have in your head of “wow you know I feel so comfortable”’ (Picture: Getty)

Angela continued: ‘I saw her as having long dark hair. She had these kind of beautiful chestnut eyes beautiful in a conventional way. She was wearing a creamy robe that a lot of people talk about, and she was carrying a book in her arms. But I never saw a title on the book, she never opened the book, I didn’t get to see what was in it but I have a very good feeling it was the book of my life.’ Finally, Angela says she went toward a light, which was like entering a subway tunnel, and came out to another velvety place, that was white and cotton-like (Picture: Angela Harris)
There was a party waiting for her, which included some ancestors who passed away. She said: ‘The most beautiful part of it is that when I would hug [her relatives] I’d remember everything from both viewpoints, so for example I hugged my uncle who lived on a farm. I experienced several different things in life from him and being with him before he passed’ (Picture: Getty)
Angela said in this moment she realised that she had ‘died’. She explained: ‘I’m thinking about my family, and when I do it’s like a portal in the white opens up and I can see my husband in the hospital room. I can see my children. I would see [my children] as adults in the future. My daughter was very young, she was in first grade, but I saw her as this beautiful adult woman wearing a white lab coat. She continued: ‘I would see my other daughter, who was at that time in fourth grade, in her future as a man, and that has occurred — so my daughter, Lily at that time, is now Adam as an adult, and has transitioned.’ However, Angela says she did not mention this to her children at the time, ‘Until they got to that space where they had already made the decisions to become what I saw and they made those decisions on their own’ (Picture: Angela Harris)

Angela claims that while she was in that space she had all the answers to any question she thought at the time. She also says she saw other glimpses of the future, where she says people live more ‘locally’. She explained: ‘Right now, we live very globally, but this was a very different space than that. We had retracted from that, there were wars that happened. We lost a lot of population, and at this particular moment that I was accessing we had moved back to living in more localised cities’ (Picture: Angela Harris)
She continued: ‘We were farming living in our own spaces, making what we needed but still having that global thread, still having technology, just using it a lot differently and a lot more peacefully.’ She says migration was gone and ‘we all recognise that we’re one from the one source and we live together beautifully and peacefully.’ She added: ‘I don’t specifically remember a timeframe from that, but I will tell you what I feel of it in the memories I have, it’s not too far off’ (Picture: Getty)

After that, Angela says she had a life review, where she saw her life flash before her and she was told she was a good person, and that the entities – like Melanie – love her. After seeing more relatives who told her she needs to be with her children, Angela said se woke up and felt like everything has changed – and wanted to go back to the void (Picture: Angela Harris)
Now she says: ‘I make different choices. Much more compassionate, much more loving, much more calm than I was before and I see things now through the lens of the other side. So music is different to me. When I walk around outside I’m not just on a walk, I’m in awe, like literal awe, every single time look at the sky.’ Since her NDE, Angela has become director of IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) groups & events, and also has become a speaker and spiritual advisor (Picture: Getty)
