WWE is finally inducting Demolition into the Hall of Fame class of 2026.

The iconic duo, made up of Ax and Smash, are recognised as one of the best tag teams ever, and fans have been begging for them to be honoured by the company for years.

As revealed to the pair by The Undertaker, the pair will be inducted at this year’s ceremony on the eve of WrestleMania.

WWE has since confirmed that the event will be held on Friday, April 17, at the Dolby Live at Park MGM.

They join already announced inductees Stephanie McMahon and AJ Styles.

In a video shared by WWE, Undertaker told Demolition on a video call: ‘It’s my esteemed honour to welcome you two, Demolition, Ax and Slash, into the 2026 class of the WWE Hall of Fame. Congratulations, guys.’

The two stars were visibly overwhelmed, describing the news as ‘unbelievable’, adding: ‘It’s a huge honour; we’ll be there.’

Fans are delighted at the announcement, which Fightful reporter Sean Ross Sapp noted is ‘long overdue’.

‘It’s about damn time,’ wrote fan JustAlyxCentral on X. ‘This has been a long time coming. They should’ve been inducted decades ago. I’m glad they’re finally getting their flowers.’

And @lalabe08 added: ‘It’s long overdue but I’m glad that #Demolition has finally made the WWE hall of fame because it’s best for business and well deserved.’

The event will air at 5am for fans in the UK, with broadcast details to follow.

Those lucky enough to be in Las Vegas will also soon be able to book Hall of Fame Priority Passes through OnLocation, promising ‘unparalleled access to every electrifying moment, including premium seating, and Superstar Meet & Greet opportunities’.

The Demolition announcement comes a week after Undertaker crashed AJ Styles’ Raw retirement ceremony to surprise the Phenomenal One with his own induction.

After a heartfelt speech at the end of the show, Styles looked surprised as Dead Man made his way to the ring.

‘Me and you, we’ve got unfinished business,’ Undertaker teased. ‘AJ, did you ever hear the phrase, “If you see me coming, you’re already gone?”

‘I changed that phrase a little bit. Because if you see me coming, that means you’re going. ‘AJ, it is my esteemed honour to inform you that you are the newest inductee in the 2026 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.’

Undertaker was also the one to tell Stephanie McMahon she was being inducted, so fans will be looking forward to finding out who’s next to have a visit from the Phenom.

Tickets will go on sale starting Tuesday, March 10, at 1pm ET/10am PT via Ticketmaster.com.
