Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) is busy getting to know Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) in Emmerdale, unaware he is exploiting multiple members of the village.

Ray has connected with Laurel because she serves as a reminder of the life he could’ve lived. He knows that they won’t be together forever, but is relishing in the time they spend together.

In upcoming episodes, Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) starts to snoop into Laurel’s new romance. Intrigued, she takes to social media and searches for Ray, but is puzzled when she realises he doesn’t have an online footprint.

Curious as to why he doesn’t have at least one profile on a platform, Nicola ponders over whether Ray is hiding anything.

Is the local loud-mouth going to be the first to discover who Ray really is?

Elsewhere next week, Ray and Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) tell Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) about Anya’s makeshift funeral, but he’s horrified to discover they intend to bury her body in a grave on Butlers’ farmland.

Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) is also taken aback when police officers speed up to the depot and reveal they have reason to believe drugs are being moved through the premises.

Also, Sam Dingle (James Hooton) attempts to surprise Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), and develops a plan to make more money ahead of Christmas.
