Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali in a stunning deadline-day move.
According to Sky Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg, ‘top sources’ have confirmed that the Gunners are exploring a possible deal for the 25-year-old Italy international.
The report claims there have been ‘direct talks’ in the last couple of hours.
However, for now, the proposed signing is deemed ‘very very difficult’ to finalise given Newcastle have not given the green light.
The runaway Premier League leaders have not given up hope, though, and are still trying and pushing to prise the midfielder away from St James’ Park today.
