A Traitors star has hit out at fans for being ‘disgustingly invasive’ after personal details were revealed about his private life.
Last night’s episode of the BBC series saw the identity of the secret Traitor finally exposed before Ross was banished at the roundtable, despite him being a Faithful.
For viewers at home, they got a win of their own after a connection between Ross and Ellie, which had been sleuthed out online, was proven to be true.
Ross already had one surprise connection in the castle, to nursery school teacher Netty, but psychologist Ellie told the BBC camera crew that Ross was her boyfriend, as fans had previously suspected.
But, speaking to Metro exclusively, Ross described fans’ efforts to uncover his and Ellie’s secret relationship as ‘dangerous’.
‘People have been disgustingly invasive,’ the 37-year-old personal trainer said.
‘I don’t mind people [talking about] stuff in the past, like, we’ve been to this leisure centre or this thing, but they were literally quoting the gym we go to which is quite close to us.

‘I’m like, that’s too much. Obviously I can understand people wanting to know stuff out of curiosity, but it’s like doxxing someone. Don’t risk my safety. That’s something I had a bit of a thing with.’
After admitting that he should not ‘feed the trolls’ online, Ross claimed that the entire experience of fans attempting to track him down was ‘invasive’.
‘I do understand anybody was going want to say something to put some important information out there, but I think check it up a bit,’ he added.
‘We already know people are mad out there, so with the information stuff, it felt invasive. I didn’t mind the stuff that’s publicly out there all in the past, the current stuff.
‘[But] we all get really weird messages as it is. The way people could actually follow up with it, I find that dangerous and a bit not human.’
Discussing her relationship with Ross on the show, Ellie said in the confessional room: ‘I’m really sad to see him go. Especially because Ross is actually my boyfriend.
‘What I’ve got to do now is avenge his death. I’ve got to work a lot harder. I want to catch a Traitor for him.’
But, what should have been a massive surprise on the BBC show, a picture of the pair on a work trip in June 2024 circulated online earlier this week.
It came after eagle-eyed observers found that the pair already knew each other on LinkedIn, having shared the evidence on Reddit.
On the website, Ross has publicly commented on several of Ellie’s work updates with supportive messages that implied he knew her very well.
The ruined reveal left many fans on X calling for the contestants to make their social media accounts private while competing on the show, to maintain that element of surprise.
The Traitors continues on Thursday at 8pm on BBC One.
