The Traitors and Celebrity Traitors will officially be back on the BBC for the next three years.
The juggernaut game of wink murder has turned into a ratings bonanza for the Beeb, so it’s no surprise the broadcaster has locked in with producers Studio Lambert for years to come.
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, who’s set to launch her own chat show this week off the back of the show’s success, The Traitors’ lease on the Scottish castle will now go up to 2030.
The show will continue to air on BBC One and iPlayer, with an official announcement promising ‘even more twists, turns, secrets, epic missions, deception, banishments and, of course, murders aplenty from the now iconic Ardross Castle’.
Described as a ‘landmark deal’, it also includes a continued BBC agreement to host the international versions of the betrayal game, including those from the US, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
It comes after Celebrity Traitors, which was won in an unparalleled run by Alan Carr, raked in a peak viewership of 15.4 million for the finale, making it the most-watched series of 2025.
The fourth series of The Traitors soon followed and again saw millions tune in to watch Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy become the first Traitor double act to take home the prize pot.
