From Cinnamon Coke Zero to Coke Lime, Coca-Cola has been adding some exciting flavours to its line-up over the last few months.
But if you’ve been hoping for something a little more nostalgic, we might have some good news for you.
The popular drinks brand is adding an exciting new flavour to its range, and it’s available to buy in UK supermarkets right now.
Called Cherry Float, the very retro flavour is perfect for Cherry Coke lovers.
What is Coca-Cola’s new flavour?
According to Coca-Cola, this new beverage is inspired by ‘a classic soda fountain treat’ from the US, and has been crafted to deliver the taste of a Cherry Coke Float.
The ice cream float dates all the way back to 1874, but really started to gain popularity throughout the US in the 50s and 60s.
The treat quickly spread worldwide and remained incredibly popular in diners and cafes well into the 80s and 90s, and even today, you can find it on many menus.
The new Coke Cherry Float is described as blending the classic taste of Coca-Cola Cherry with ‘smooth creamy vanilla notes’ to create a ‘familiar, yet new profile’.
Where can you buy Coca-Cola Cherry Float?
New 1.75L bottles of the new drink have been spotted for sale in Asda supermarkets, priced at £2.
However, the drink is currently listed as being out of stock online, so if you want to try some, you’ll have to venture into a physical store.
As well as launching in the UK, the new flavour has also been released in America and Canada, with full sugar and zero sugar options.

The original Cherry Coke was launched in 1985 and was Coca-Cola’s first-ever flavoured extension of the trademark brand.
It’s become a cult favourite with Coca-Cola fans, and as such, the brand has vowed to offer consumers more cherry-forward choices than ever before, so you can expect to see more coming soon, as well as an increase in ‘nostalgic flavours reimagined in modern ways’.
This comes after Diet Coke Cherry was also recently revived and made a permanent addition to the Diet Coke range.
The drink, which was also launched in the 80s, was discontinued in 2018, but returned for a limited time in October 2025.
However, at the start of 2026, Coca-Cola confirmed that the beloved beverage was here to stay.
