The Duke of Marlborough has indicated he will plead not guilty at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court to strangling his estranged wife Edla Marlborough.

Charles James Spencer-Churchill, a relative of Sir Winston Churchill and Princess Diana, is accused of three offences between November 2022 and May 2024.

The three charges of non-fatal intentional strangulation are alleged to have taken place in in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, against the same person.
