Emma Watson was swept up in a bubble of love as she kissed her rumoured new boyfriend, Gonzalo Hevia Baillères, at an airport in Mexico this week.
The Harry Potter actress, 35, has been romantically linked to the billionaire businessman since the end of 2025, but their lustful clinch at a Mexico City airport on Wednesday is perhaps the clearest sign of their relationship yet.
Standing in the busy airport, Emma was seen openly kissing the man who has been described as ‘one of Mexico’s most eligible bachelors’. It appears Gonzalo was picking up the casually dressed actress following a flight, and proved to be a true gentleman, carrying one of her travel bags.
The couple were seen later that night enjoying drinks at a plush restaurant, and a source has claimed that they’ve already taken the next, very serious, step in their romance.
‘Widely regarded as one of Mexico’s most eligible bachelors, Gonzalo now appears to be deeply smitten and reportedly taking his relationship with Emma seriously – having already introduced her to his parents,’ the insider told the Daily Mail.
’Without a doubt, Gonzalo and Emma are shaping up to be one of 2026’s most unexpected power couples.’
The source added that Gonzalo tends to keep his relationships private but was involved in a ‘high-profile’ romance with Mexican actress and singer Belinda between 2023 and 2024.
‘The relationship ended in 2024, and according to sources, the breakup was difficult for the pop star,’ they claimed.
In recent months, Emma and Gonzalo have been seen on several outings in Mexico City and also enjoyed a romantic getaway to the exclusive beach resort of Punta Mita.
At the end of last year, the couple jetted off on more of a chillier holiday to Courchevel in the French Alps, where many celebrities enjoy the luxury skiing resort.
Gonzalo comes from a high-profile family whose wealth has been amassed through various companies in the mining, insurance, retail and finance industries. His grandfather, Alberto Hevia Baillères, was said to be one of Mexico’s richest men with an estimated net worth of $8.6billion.
According to Us Weekly, Gonzalo studied at the Swiss boarding school Le Rosey and at Ransom Everglades School in Miami before going on to graduate with a degree in Economics from ITAM. He is the current CEO of AI tech company Lok, which he founded in 2021.
Emma was previously thought to be dating fellow Oxford student Kieran Brown after reportedly striking up a romance in 2024. They were even rumoured to be engaged after Emma appeared at Paris Fashion Week in October 2025, wearing a diamond ring on her left hand.
Prior to that, she had enjoyed a ‘serious’ relationship with Sir Philip Green’s son, Brandon Green, until they split after 18 months together in 2023.
The British actress recently opened up about her dating life during an appearance on Jay Shetty’s podcast On Purpose, explaining how she preferred to date people who were less familiar with her career and fame.
‘It’s funny, occasionally people will apologise to me for the fact they’ve not seen my films,’ she said. ‘And I will be like, “Please don’t apologise. That is bliss to me.” Like, music to my ears that you’re not going to constantly be navigating it.’
She added: ‘And me also navigating with you this projection of me, or this Emma Watson avatar-person will not be this ghost in the room.’
