Former MasterChef host, Gregg Wallace has discontinued his High Court claim against BBC, according to the corporation.

Wallace sued the BBC for up to £10,000 in damages after he alleged they failed to disclose his personal data.

He claimed this caused him ‘distress and harassment’.

Now, Wallace, 61, won’t receive any payment in costs or damages, the BBC has confirmed.

Following an investigation into allegations of misconduct were upheld, the 61-year-old was sacked in July 2025.

The broadcaster denied Wallace had ‘suffered any distress or harassment’ stated in court documents that he wasn’t ‘entitled to any damages’.

On February 16, a preliminary court hearing was due to take place, but it was cancelled shortly before.

A BBC spokesperson confirmed on February 27 that Wallace discontinued the claim: ‘Shortly in advance of a hearing, due February 16, Mr Wallace discontinued his claim.

‘He is not receiving any payment in costs or damages from either BBC or BBC Studios.’

Last year, several complaints were upheld against him, including three of being in a state of undress, and one of unwelcome physical contact.

Wallace denied any serious misconduct, and said he is ‘deeply sorry for any distress.’ He claims he ‘never set out to harm or humiliate’.

Metro has contacted Wallace for comment.
