Glowy makeup brand Vieve has just unveiled not one, but two, new products that are vying for a spot in your makeup kit.
Founded by makeup artist and influencer Jamie Genevieve in 2020, Vieve has fast become a favourite of beauty editors everywhere, thanks to its dewy primers, long-wearing mascara, pigmented powder blushes and lucious lip oils.
Now, in 2026, it’s adding to its long list of products with the launch of two brow products; a clear Modern Brow Gel and a Modern Brow Definer pencil that comes in six shades.
Both cost £23 each and if it means I can achieve fluffy, ultra-defined, polished brows like Genevieve herself, I’m all ears.
However, not all brow products are made equal, so I wanted to put both products through their paces to see if they’re actually worth a spot in my makeup bag.
Here’s my verdict…
Vieve Modern Brow Gel
As someone who has always struggled to make my sparse, fine, lightly coloured eyebrow hairs look full, bushy and elegant, a brow gel is the perfect place to start if you want to engineer that laminated look.
The packaging is super chic. It’s a gold tube with an embossed lid and a small spoolie coated in just enough product to hold hair in place and brush it up and set it if you want a fluffier look.
The formula is designed to coat hair with an elastic film former, essentially a thin veil that dries down within seconds of application. It leaves no lumps, clumping or unsightly white residue left over. It’s truly clear.
Better yet, it doesn’t leave my brow hairs feeling stiff or tacky, and after a full day of wearing it, I could still feel the softness of my brow hairs.
The only downside is it’s quite a pricey brow gel, so if it’s not in your budget, I’d recommend the essence Brow Lifting Gel Set, which is less than a fiver, or L’Oréal Paris Brow Gel, for just £11.99.
Vieve Modern Brow Definer
My go-to brow product is typically a very fine-tip pencil, as it allows me enough control to draw strokes that look like hair and allows a much more precise finish. I don’t want blocky brows anywhere near me.
This dual-ended pencil ticks every box for me, so if you also have sparse brows, this is worth a spot in your makeup bag.
One side is a spoolie brush for shaping hair, and the other is a pencil tip, formulated with soybean and vegetable oils, along with carnauba wax, which allows it to seamlessly glide on skin with minimal pressure.
My favourite shade is Medium Brown – the perfect pairing for my mousy brown roots – but there are five more to pick from: Blonde, Taupe, Light Brown, Dark Brown and Natural Black.
It’s buildable and easy to wipe away with your finger if you make a mistake, and it has a natural-looking finish that I love. It’s very long-wearing too, with no budging all day, despite being on and off sweaty tube carriages during a busy day in central London.
Of course, it’s not cheap at £23, but if you’ve tried every high-street pencil and had no luck, I’d recommend adding this to your basket for long-wearing colour payoff and fuss-free application.
