Katie Price’s new mother-in-law has declared ‘as long as they’re happy then I am happy’ after the former glamour model’s shock wedding.
Overnight Katie left many stunned after revealing she had tied the knot with businessman Lee Andrews – who she met barely a week ago.
The nuptials also came not long after Katie, 47, announced her split from partner of two years JJ Slater.
Shortly after her whirlwind romance and wedding was announced, Katie said she and Lee had got matching tattoos and rings before even meeting.
‘On the wedding, all I can say is “fatale,” and this was a wedding at first sight,’ she told The Sun.
Snaps of the big day show the couple posing together – with Katie wearing a figure-hugging white dress while her new husband wore a linen set.
In other images the pair were seen hand-in-hand as the Dubai ceremony was officiated, with the new couple also locking lips in another.
Despite the whirlwind romance, Lee’s mum Trisha – a clairvoyant from Nottingham – has thrown her support behind the pairing.
Speaking to The Mirror, Trisha said that she had been given the heads up about the wedding despite reports they eloped.
‘There’s a lot of lies going around about Lee and that’s made me really upset. He’s not been married twice. I just want to defend my son, but I can’t say much more until I know everything,’ she said.
‘He did tell me that the wedding was happening. He spoke to me and if he is happy, I am happy – he’s my son, and that’s all that matters.’
Speaking about her new famous daughter-in-law, she said: ‘Of course, I know who Katie is. I’ve always been very neutral about her. Everyone deserves a chance; you should never judge anyone in life.’
She then quipped: ‘You can ask what it’s like to have a famous daughter-in-law, but she’s got a famous mother-in-law!’
A look at Katie and Lee’s wedding
On Friday Katie announced her ninth engagement. Posting a series of photos from a Dubai hotel room on social media, the engagement featured a hot tub and rose petals on the floor spelling out: ‘Will you marry me Katie?’
Posing alongside a chocolate cake and two glasses of champagne, Katie also showed off her diamond ring.
In a later story she then showed the hand of what appears to be Lee’s, who then posted a selfie of the pair with a wedding ring emoji.
Showing off her ring again, the man’s hand shown had a ‘Katie 11.11’ tattoo too.
In her final Instagram story, which shows the Burj Al Arab lit up in pink, the former I’m A Celebrity star then compared her new fiancé to movie star Richard Gere, saying he ‘swept her’ off her feet’ before adding: ‘Manifesting does work’.
Katie has previously been engaged eight times and has three former husbands – first, to Peter Andre, with whom she shares children Junior, 20, and Princess, 18.
They divorced in 2009, and Katie tied the knot with Alex Reid just a year later.
Alex and Katie then ended their relationship in 2012, and she then wed her third husband, Kieran Hayler, in 2013.
They were together until 2021, having two children.
Katie also has her eldest son, Harvey, 23, whom she shares with ex Dwight Yorke.
Her former fiancés also include Warren Furman, Scott Sullivan, Leandro Penna, Kris Boyson and Carl Woods.
Shortly after her wedding to Lee was announced, Katie shared a statement with The Sun, saying: ‘How I met Lee was esoteric; we connected [by] both checking each other’s socials and quickly realised, “Wow, this is for me.”
‘In the old-fashioned way, first by words, which captured us both. That evolved deeper as we connected further within days, [getting] matching tattoos, and then both deciding to buy rings for the other.
‘All this without even meeting, we let fate, but you could [say] destiny, decide. I’m just so happy with my person that is just as happy as I am. What we have, they haven’t even invented the words.’
She went on to declare that Lee has ‘the best version of [her]’, which ‘can only grow more, knowing [they] are each other’s’.

Who is Lee Andrews?
Lee’s profile states that he is the chief executive of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and an ‘investor in Space X Hybrid Fitness’.
He also shares photos from his life in Dubai, where he’s brushed shoulders with the likes of Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian.
Prior to meeting Katie, he was married to 41-year-old fitness coach Dina Taji.
Just a week ago Katie shut down claims she’d broken up with JJ, 32, after delivering him an ‘ultimatum’ after ‘pushing for marriage and security’.
‘I didn’t give him an ultimatum at all. To be honest guys, so me and JJ, our relationship for months wasn’t right, but he’s such a nice guy. I cannot fault him in any way possible. There was no ultimatum,’ she said on the latest episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show.
‘I think they said the belt because I wouldn’t marry him or have a baby. That is a load of rubbish, absolute rubbish. And if I’m honest I love the guy, but I’m not in love with him.
‘And what’s the point of carrying on a relationship? But you know that we actually split up a few months ago.’
She added: ‘There’s no hard feelings, there’s no animosity. I do love JJ though. I’m also older and I don’t want to waste his time, or my time.’
‘You know, if I’m not loved up and it’s not going, these are mistakes I’ve made in the past. So, I’d rather have nipped it in the bud sooner rather than later.’
