Katie Price has jetted off to Dubai to see husband Lee Andrews as friends and family express concern about the sudden marriage – and it looks like she might be planning to stay there for good.
Sources have claimed the former glamour model, 47, has put down a deposit and is signing the contract this week on a property in the UAE with her new spouse, 43.
The wedding, which she announced at the end of January, came just days after Katie revealed her engagement to self-proclaimed multimillionaire Lee, who claims to be the CEO of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and an ‘Investor in Space X Hybrid Fitness.’
However, Lee’s business, which he has said has been endorsed by the likes of Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian, is reportedly bogus, causing many to worry he is scamming Katie.
A source told The Sun: ‘She is really excited and thinks she is going to have her happy ending with Lee but those close to Katie fear this could be the start of a potential scam.’
The source continued: ‘Katie says she is busy planning her new life with Lee and has splashed the cash on this property – but it’s making her closest friends and family anxious.
‘They’re concerned about his motives and that is only natural given what some of his ex partners have said.’
The couple got engaged within a week of meeting, tying the knot just two days later, to the surprise of her friends and family.
In a video posted on her YouTube channel ahead of her trip to Dubai, the former glamour model, 47, declared she’s ‘not stupid’ amid speculation over Lee’s credentials.
But those closest to Katie remain concerned, including her daughter Princess, 18, with a source saying: ‘Princess learnt about her mum’s wedding online like everyone else and has been completely horrified.’
‘She’s read the stories and all the stuff on TikTok about his ex wives and instantly alarm bells started ringing’, according to The Sun.
The source continued: ‘Princess is very sharp and realised straight away that if her mum wouldn’t listen to her or any of their family, she might take on board what women in the same situation have had to say about it all.
‘She saw her mum a few days ago and forced her to speak to his exes to hear their side of the story.’
The insider described Princess as ‘utterly heartbroken and deeply concerned’ about Katie.
Katie addressed all of the concern in her YouTube video, saying: ‘I’ve made no comments about anything. I don’t feel I need to make any comments about anything.
‘I’m fully aware, like everyone else. I see stuff, I get sent stuff. And what I want everyone to know is I’m a grown a**e woman.
‘I’m 48 this year. I’m not a young kid. I’ve learnt a lot in the last few years with therapy and learning to love myself.
‘So, I’m not stupid; I know what I’m doing, and if I’m happy, that’s all what really matters.’
Now, it seems Katie might be committing fulltime to her new marriage and leaving the UK for good.
