Motorists heading to Luton Airport for their Easter getaway this weekend are facing delays after a crash on the M1.
National Highways said traffic began building up on the southbound part of the motorway between Junction 11 and 10 this morning after a car and motorbike were involved in a collision.
The motorway was then closed between the two junctions from 7.45am to 9.30am as emergency services came to the scene.
All lanes have since reopened but there are long delays of up to 45 minutes on the motorway as a result.
Motorists were previously being diverted off the M1 to the A505 onto the A5 through Dunstable to help smooth journeys.

Elsewhere, the M6 Toll in the West Midlands is closed northbound between T6 Brownhills Interchange (Brownhills, Burntwood A5195) and the M6 J11a Saredon Interchange.
This is due to a serious collision, National Highways have said.
West Midlands Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service, West Midlands Fire & Rescue and National Highways Traffic Officers are on scene.
The M6 Toll does not have any official diversion routes, therefore road users intending on using the M6 Toll northbound beyond T6 are advised to use the M6 as an alternate.
National Highways added that the closure also impacts access to the Norton Canes Service Area.
