The Traitors winner Rachel Duffy has confirmed how she is going to use her £48,000 prize money after the heartbreaking death of her mum.
The 43-year-old from Northern Ireland became the first female Traitor to win and split the prize pot with her turret ally Stephen Libby.
Discussing her plans to use the BBC murder mystery prize money, Rachel originally said that she wanted to pay for a dream holiday with her mum, who celebrated her 70th birthday in March.
However, following the death of her mum just days after her season four win, Rachel has now explained how she is still focusing on creating lasting memories with her family.
‘I’m going to make memories. I can’t get to make them with mummy, but I’m going to make them with my family,’ she told BBC News.
‘I think being able to do nice things with them is an absolute blessing.
‘So I think we’re going to have a fun 2026.’

Sharing the news that her mum had died towards the end of January, Rachel wrote on her Instagram Story: ‘We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beautiful wee mummy.’
‘We kindly ask for privacy as our family grieves during this difficult time.’
She also revealed what an inspiration she was to her both during the show and in life.
Previously posting said on social media, she said: ‘Mummy was just 47 when she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s (four years older than I am now) and now faces dementia, but still amazes me and my family every single day.
‘Everything she has done for me and my four siblings is nothing short of incredible. Sharing caring responsibilities over the years for her has been a privilege and we are so proud to call her our mum.’
Other stars of the BBC series rallied to share messages of support for Rachel following her devastating loss, including fellow winner Stephen and finalist Jade Scott.
This came after Rachel told Metro how excited her mum had been to see her as a Traitor on the show.
Discussing her plans, she said: ‘My first plan is just going to be sitting with my family and asking them, “What can we do?”’
‘I told my mum this morning, and it was the nicest thing, so the first thing will be to treat her and the kids.’
