Two more men have been arrested in connection with the death of former Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins.
The convicted paedophile, who pleaded guilty to his crimes in 2013, died from blood loss after his throat was said to be slashed.
Two men, aged 23 and 39, have been arrested from the jail on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
West Yorkshire Police said both men are in police custody and will be interviewed on Tuesday.
They will then be bailed and returned to prison while inquiries continue.
Rashid Gedel, 25, who was referred to as Rico Gedel during the hearing, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43, are also charged with murder over the alleged attack.
Watkins was serving a 35-year sentence in Wakefield Prison when he was killed on October 11.
Police and medics had arrived on the scene but were too late to save the 48-year-old, in what was claimed by an insider to be a ‘pre-planned’ attack.
Watkins had reportedly been attacked ‘a few times’ due to the nature of his crimes and his high-profile case.
In 2013, he was convicted of 13 child sexual offences, with charges including conspiring to rape an 11-month-old baby and three counts of sexual assault involving children.
‘Watkins has been killed in the most brutal way possible—and the attack was shocking, even by prison standards,’ said a source, as per The Sun.
‘He was targeted by another inmate who shanked him in the neck.
‘Guards were nearby and raced to the scene pretty quickly—but there was nothing they could do, and they could not save him.’
