The star used his time on stage to call out anti-immigration sentiment, saying: ‘Before I say thanks to God, I’m gonna say, “ICE out.”

His halftime extravaganza, set to contain a medley of his hits, will take place during the Super Bowl LX game at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
When it was first announced that the singer would perform at the Super Bowl, he shared in a statement: ‘What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history.
‘Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL. (Go and tell grandma that we will be the HALFTIME SHOW of the Super Bowl).’
Jay Z, the NFL’s live music entertainment strategist, added in his own statement: ‘What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honoured to have him on the world’s biggest stage.’

How to watch the Super Bowl 2026 in the UK
It’s now easier than ever to watch the Super Bowl in the UK thanks to growing British interest in American football.
It will be broadcast free-to-air in the UK on Channel 5, while subscribers can also watch it on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports NFL.
The pre-game build-up is expected to start at 10.45pm, with the official kick-off at 11.30pm.
