The possibility of a future together is officially back on the cards for Hollyoaks couple Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) and Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) – but deciding to take a chance on love could come with some pretty big costs.

With Lucas behind bars for his attack on dad Ste (Kieron Richardson), Dillon could never have imagined that he’d once again find himself falling head over heels for his first love.

And yet that’s exactly what happened after a series of unplanned prison visits resulted in their chemistry reigniting.

Their newfound appreciation of one another has been aided by Lucas’ desire to turn over a new leaf as he proved incredibly supportive towards Dillon, who was left reeling in the wake of finding out about Donny Clark’s (Louis Emerick) rape ordeal.

In fact, Dillon has found himself reminiscing about the past – the happier days of HayRay – a lot and there were smiles all round when Lucas came into possession of a mobile phone, using the device to talk to Dillon until they both fell asleep.

But romance is put on the back burner this week to instead focus on Lucas’ safety later after he finds himself with an unsettling new cellmate.

With the teen’s wellbeing in danger, James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) joins forces with Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) and Froggy Black (John Middleton) to devise a course of action to help him out.

And their plan is an ambitious one to say the least – they’re going to break Lucas out of prison. What could possibly go wrong?

The jury is still out on that one but fans of HayRay will be pleased to know that Dillon is also in on the plan – and, upon Lucas setting foot outside the prison gates, he intends on running away with his one true love.

Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) isn’t supportive of the plan but Dillon reveals that he knows all about Vicky’s weight loss injections. After a heated discussion, Vick agrees to keep quiet, giving Dillon a hug – but Dillon later tells Gemma Johnston (Tisha Merry) about the injections.
