The arrival of spring proves incredibly eventful in Hollyoaks, which is certainly ramping things up in the coming weeks – with the long-awaited return of Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix) at the centre of a series of thrilling events to come.

Clare was jailed courtesy of granddad Froggy Black (John Middleton) back in October after she wreaked havoc on the eponymous village in the lead up to the show’s 30th anniversary.

She vowed that Froggy would pay for what he did and he may just rue the day he double-crossed her as flashforward six months and she’s back for revenge, with upcoming scenes seeing her escape from captivity.

Be afraid, Hollyoaks village – be very afraid!

In addition to Clare’s return, spring will see devastating scenes unfold a Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) plots a course for London, with Nancy (Jessica Fox) left devastated to learn that she never quite made it there.

A collision of sorts is on the horizon, with the arrival of the Keane clan at the very centre of it all, providing the long-running serial with not one but two stunt weeks to come – and a big shock in store for Jack (jimmy McKenna) along the way.

If you’ve watched the trailer and were left thinking that there was simply too much to process in one viewing then you’re not alone so join us as we dive deep into the action, taking a look at all the high-octane drama to come.

The long-awaited crossing-of-paths between soap super-schemers Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) and Clare transpired last year but with killer Jez’s (Jeremy Sheffield) killing spree ongoing at the time, the duo’s confrontation was more subdued than expected.

But that’s all set to change, with a dramatic and camp showdown on the cards as the two come face-to-face in upcoming scenes – after Clare deliciously secures her exit from behind bars.

Sienna is desperate to save her children while Clare reveals that she knows her nemesis’ biggest sin – that she claimed her beloved Ethan Williams’ (Matthew James Bailey) life. How will Sienna react when confronted with her grave mistake? And who will come out on top?

Sienna’s behaviour, meanwhile, piques the interest of Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe), who wonders if she can be trusted around Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) – especially given Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) is back on the scene as Sienna’s ally.
