Kanye West has laid bare the truth about his marriage to Bianca Censori and just how intense it really is.
In 2022, the rapper, 48, quietly married the Australian architect, 31, following his divorce from Kim Kardashian, with whom he welcomed four children during their 10-year relationship.
To say Kanye and Bianca have captured the world’s attention since getting together would probably be an understatement, as not a day has gone by that they haven’t made headlines.
Mostly, it’s due to Bianca’s risqué fashion choices, as she frequently steps out wearing very little, while Kanye remains fully clothed, usually in all-black tracksuits, which has sparked concern about the power dynamic between them.
He and the model were also reported to have split early last year before getting back together, as sources claimed Bianca had been ‘pushed to the limit’ with his online rants and disturbing behaviour.
Their reconciliation was later confirmed in one of Kanye’s songs, in which he wrote about her ‘running away’ and claimed she ‘had panic attacks’.
And now, in one of his new tunes, the Gold Digger hitmaker has boldly declared that they will not be breaking up again… as long as he’s alive.
Kanye was due to release his Bully album yesterday, but it did not immediately appear on streaming platforms. Still, he debuted his 20-track record at listening parties for fans around the world.
In one track, Highs and Lows, he says: ‘Highs and lows, I put you through a lot, I know.
‘Highs and lows. Still, you never let me go.’
He continues: ‘You said I love you, and I love you back. Before I break your heart, I’ll have a heart attack.
‘We separated, but we made it back. And we gon’ stay attached ‘til we fade to black.’
‘Don’t let me go,’ he pleads in the outro. ‘I put you through a lot, I know.’
Bully marks Kanye’s 12th studio album and his first in four years. It includes songs with the titles King, Mama’s Favorite, Sisters and Brothers, Beauty and the Beast, Preacher Man, and Damn.
Kanye has also collaborated with André Troutman on All the Love and White Lines, Don Toliver on Circles, Peso Pluma on Last Breath, and CeeLo Green on title track Bully.
The track I Can’t Wait samples You Can’t Hurry Love by The Supremes, while White Lines borrows from (They Long To Be) Close To You by The Carpenters.
Following his Instagram post in which he announced that Bully was ‘out now’, fans have flocked to praise him, branding it ‘album of the year’ and and him the ‘best of all time’.
Wife Bianca also subtly showed her support by commenting a red love heart emoji.
Elsewhere on the album, Kanye uses some very Kanye lyrics, claiming: ‘I wanna beat somebody up like a bully.’
This is despite his apology letter earlier this year, in which he seemingly admitted regret over making a string of antisemitic comments and other problematic behaviour.
Printed in The Wall Street Journal in January, Kanye discussed his mental health in depth, as well as becoming ‘unrecognisable’ to himself.
He said that his bipolar disorder made him feel ‘powerful, certain, [and] unstoppable’ and led him to ‘lose touch with reality’ in recent years, but he ‘ignored the problem’.
Referring to the words and actions that generated huge backlash, he added: ‘I said and did things I deeply regret. Some of the people I love the most, I treated the worst. You endured fear, confusion, humiliation, and the exhaustion of trying to have someone who was, at times, unrecognisable. Looking back, I became detached from my true self.’
Kanye went on to address selling T-shirts emblazoned with swastikas and apologised to the Black community for ‘letting [them] down’.
‘I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change. It does not excuse what I did though,’ he said, adding that Bianca encouraged him to seek help.
His ad concluded with a vow to put more ‘positive’ ideas out after finding ‘much-needed clarity’.
‘I am pouring my energy into positive, meaningful art: music, clothing, design, and other new ideas to help the world.’
In a subsequent interview, Kanye denied that the apology was only made for album promo and to ‘revive [his] commerciality’.
‘I owe a huge apology once again for everything that I said that hurt the Jewish and Black communities in particular,’ he told Vanity Fair.
