Lewis Hamilton isn’t interested in talking about his private life — and certainly not during race week.
The seven-time world champion, 41, is in Bahrain for the first testing week ahead of the new Formula 1 season, marking a pivotal chapter in his career as he prepares for his debut campaign with Ferrari.
But while engines roared at the Bahrain International Circuit, it was his rumoured romance with Kim Kardashian that threatened to dominate the headlines.
Hamilton was reportedly asked by members of the written press about his relationship with Kardashian, 45, after the pair were seen together at Super Bowl LX on Sunday, Feb. 8.
Sitting side-by-side in a suite at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif, they were joined by Kardashian’s sister Kendall Jenner and model Hailey Bieber.
Sky Sports F1 reporter Ted Kravitz addressed the chatter in a video posted to X on Feb. 11, acknowledging the question many fans expected him to ask.
‘I know what you’re thinking,’ Kravitz said. ”Kravitz, you chickened out of asking him about his new relationship with Kim Kardashian.”
As it turns out, he didn’t need to.
Kravitz revealed that Hamilton had already been asked directly whether he enjoyed his company more than the game itself at the Super Bowl. The driver’s response was succinct and firm: ‘It’s my private life. I’m not talking about that.’
‘So that’s me told,’ Kravitz added, conceding there was little point pressing further. He joked that he had considered asking whether Kardashian might become a ‘Tifosi’ — the Italian term for Ferrari’s famously passionate fans — but ultimately thought better of it.
‘Quite right. He was never going to give me an answer, though, was he?’ Kravitz said as Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas walked alongside him in the paddock.
As for the Skims founder and world famous racing car driver have been friends for years but it’s only in recent weeks that it’s believed their relationship has taken a romantic turn.
Before their joint Super Bowl appearance, the pair were spotted on a secret getaway in the Cotswolds at nearby luxury hotel Estelle Manor.
Kim landed in her £100million private jet for the intimate rendezvous with reports that they shared a couples massage and dinner in a private room over a whirlwind 24 hours.
A source told The Sun: ‘A source also told The Sun of the weekend: ‘It all appeared to be very romantic. Kim and Lewis made use of all the facilities on offer.
‘She had two bodyguards with her and Lewis had a close protection officer, but they remained in the background.’
Both have high profile relationships from their past including Kim’s marriage to rapper Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Lewis’ longterm relationship with Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger which ended in 2015.
There were recent reports that the singer’s friends were concerned after reports of this new blossoming romance but a source told Metro that Nicola was ‘happy for Lewis’.
The insider continued: ‘ ‘Regardless of how their relationship ended, they were together for a long time and she will always care about him as a person.
‘She couldn’t be happier with Thom [Evans] and they’re enjoying planning for their upcoming wedding.’
