Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) has returned to EastEnders – and has bagged himself a new fella.
As viewers of the BBC One soap have seen, Johnny headed off on a cruise with mum Linda (Kellie Bright) to kickstart their new life away from The Queen Vic.
L’ had decided to sell up after realising that the boozer had been the backdrop for years of turmoil, and she couldn’t face anymore dramas.
For Johnny, the chance to sail the seas was an opportunity to escape his brief romance with Callum Highway (Tony Clay).
What happened between Johnny and Callum?
The pair hooked up after sharing a surprise kiss during the Pride event in June, which effectively ended Johnny’s relationship with Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison).
Callum was wracked with guilt, given his marriage to Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden), who is currently serving a six-year prison sentence for fraud in the US.
While that didn’t stop Callum going back for more, their secret affair was soon uncovered by Ben’s furious father Phil (Steve McFadden), who violently attacked Johnny.
Despite that, the two have clearly been in one another’s thoughts.
While lapping up the sun, Johnny took a racy snap of himself donning a pair of speedos and holding some inflatables and sent it over to Callum.
He quickly hid the photo from Jay Brown’s (Jamie Borthwick) view, but it didn’t take long for it to be discovered.
Jay warned him against Phil’s wrath – as nothing good could come of their flirtation.
Johnny returns to Albert Square
In tonight’s episode, a sun-kissed Johnny strolled into Albert Square and had an awkward reunion with Callum.
The atmosphere was frosty, but Callum was happy to see him nonetheless. They leaned in for a hug, but it couldn’t have been more awkward.

Johnny reasoned that they should probably keep their distance, something which Callum hesitantly agreed to.
Later, Johnny caught up with grandma Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) in The Prince Albert, telling her about someone he’d met in Mexico. The fella, Dion, was meeting him for a drink.
Rather typically, Callum had just entered the bar with step-daughter Lexi (Isabella Brown) and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick), and watched on in jealousy.
Lexi clocked that he couldn’t take his eyes off Johnny, and stormed off in frustration. Billy suggested leaving, but Callum tried to downplay events.
