Lily Allen has finally confirmed that she does, indeed, have a boyfriend.
The West End girl hitmaker, 40, split from husband David Harbour, 50, in late 2024 following endless speculation about the state of their marriage.
After calling it quits, details emerged about what went down, as Lily dropped her new record, admitting it was somewhat based on her personal experiences, which suggested that David was unfaithful and addicted to sex.
Neither she nor the Stranger Things actor has publicly responded to the cheating rumours, but lyrics on Lily’s album left listeners wide-eyed, to say the least, as she alluded to him disobeying their agreed ‘arrangement’ about any liaisons having to be ‘discrete’ and with ‘payment’.
While David has been spotted on numerous dates with younger women in recent months, Lily has kept things much more on the down-low, having been spotted enjoying a quiet romantic dinner with Jonah Freud, 28, in November.
And after he attended her Christmas party and an affectionate display on a night out last month, it appears Lily is now ready to let the world know she’s taken.
Last night, the LDN singer attended the Valentino Beauty party in Soho, sporting a vibrant orange top with a deep plunge neckline, which she teamed with casual jeans and a dramatic beehive hairstyle.
Inside the glitzy bash, Lily was interviewed by Grazia, with the publication asking her a range of quick-fire questions.
While she nonchalantly revealed that her phone wallpaper is a photo of her dog and she’s always 15 minutes early because she ‘hates lateness’, she became very shy when asked who the last person she texted was.
‘My boyfriend,’ Lily squealed in a very high-pitched tone before descending into giggles.
While Lily didn’t divulge any further details about her blossoming romance, she’s now put a label on it, and fans are ‘obsessed’ with this new chapter for her.
‘She’s so happy 🫶🏾 and I fking love to see it’, @whatsergiosays commented on the magazine’s Instagram video.
‘I would go to war for Lily Allen’, added @pordondeandtomi.
So, who is Jonah Freud?
Lily’s new boyfriend is a writer whose family is very well-connected when it comes to culture.
His great-great-grandfather was the father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, while his father, Matthew Freud, is a British entrepreneur and the founder of international PR firm Freud Communications. He’s also won an Oscar for producing The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse.
As for his mother, Caroline Hutton is the ex-wife of Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer.
His other showbiz ties include his grandmother, Jill, who was an actress, his aunt, Emma, who is a TV interviewer, and his grandfather, Sir Clement Raphael, who was a politician and broadcaster.
Jonah himself is very private, and his social media profiles aren’t public.
He only made a handful of public appearances at events in 2025, the big one, of course, being Lily’s festive bash at gentleman’s club Stringfellows.
Their debut came after Lily said she wasn’t prioritising dating, telling Vogue just in October, one month before she and Jonah were seen together: ‘Listen, I am in a period of self-discovery at the moment, and I’m really trying to explore how I’ve got myself into certain situations in the past.
‘I need to unpack some things and break some patterns and probably talk to my therapist about my relationship with my dad.’
Asked why she hadn’t done that already, she quipped: ‘I think we have some more work to do.’
Still, despite the highly exposing and scathing lyrics about her marriage demise on her latest album, Lily seems to be at peace with matters now.
She added to the publication that distance and time helped her anger to subside, as she could recognise that ‘there were lots of good things’ about her second marriage.
Lily, who was married to Sam Cooper between 2011 and 2018 and shares two children with him, said: ‘My kids had an amazing experience living in America for five years, and I have a lot of compassion for my ex-husband.
‘I think we all suffer.’
David has been lying low amid his and Lily’s divorce, also skipping promo events for Stranger Things’ final season and co-star Maya Hawke’s wedding.
He was, however, photographed just days ago with another mystery woman on a stroll in New York, although it’s unclear whether he, too, has moved on to another serious relationship.
