Prepare to say goodbye to the Friends Meal at McDonald’s folks, as it’s almost time for it to leave the menu.
Every six weeks or so, the limited-edition items on the UK menu are swapped for something a little different and for the upcoming March menu, there are some exciting new additions.
Several seasonal items are joining the line-up from March 17, including a brand new Cadbury Easter range featuring Mini Eggs and Creme Eggs.
If that weren’t enough, three fan-favourites are making a comeback, including the absolutely ginormous Double Big Mac.
Here’s everything you need to know…
What’s new on McDonald’s menu for March 2026?
McDonald’s has unveiled two brand new products featuring Cadbury Mini Eggs.
The first is a Cadbury Mini Eggs Frappe, which costs £3.89 and features a chocolate Frappe base, blended with ice and finely crushed Cadbury Mini Eggs, topped with cream and even more crushed Mini Eggs.
But there’s a bit of a catch with this one, as initially when it launches, you won’t just be able to order it in McDonald’s restaurants – you’ll only be able to get it via the McDonald’s app.
However, from March 24, it’ll be available to order as usual, while stocks last, but McDonald’s has warned that ‘once it’s gone, it’s gone’, so you’ll have to be quick to try it.
As well as the Frappe, a new Cadbury Mini Eggs McFlurry is also being introduced, priced at £2.59 for a regular, or £1.89 for a mini.
This combines soft dairy ice cream swirled, crushed Mini Eggs, and a Cadbury chocolate sauce.

What’s returning to McDonald’s menu?
Rounding out the Cadbury Easter range is the Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry (£2.59 for regular or £1.89 for mini) . This fan-favourite is back and sees ice cream swirled with Cadbury chocolate shards, then topped with a Creme Egg sauce.
For those who prefer something savoury, Spicy McNuggets are also returning, bringing ‘bold, fiery flavour’, according to Maccies, as classic nuggs are transformed with a spicy coating, featuirng Jalapeno chillies.
Served with a Spicy Chilli Dip, these are available in six pieces, nine pieces, or a 20-piece sharebox, and prices start from £7.29 for a six-piece everyday value meal.
And finally, the Double Big Mac and Double Big Mac with Bacon are making a comeback. The classic is made even bigger with FOUR British & Irish beef patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, onions, and pickles, plus the iconic Big Mac sauce.
It’ll cost you £8.59 for an everyday value Double Big Mac Meal, and £.949 if you’re adding ‘extra smoky flavour’ with bacon.
What do the new Cadbury Mini Egg items taste like?
McDonald’s kindly invited me down to their HQ in East Finchley for an exclusive early try of the new Cadbury Mini Egg range.
And while I might have been their guest, I won’t hold back on giving you my 100% honest verdict.
I started with the new Cadbury Mini Egg McFlurry and I have to say I was a little disappointed with its appearance, which is giving sludgy mess – but thankfully, it tastes much better than it looks.
You can’t really go wrong with the combo of ice cream, chocolate sauce and Mini Eggs, can you? This feels like a dessert I’d have asked my mum to make as a child, but even as an adult, the flavours are still just as enjoyable.
It’s nostalgic, classic and truly feels like Easter in a dessert.
The best part, is the Mini Eggs aren’t too hard in the cold ice cream, as has been an issue with previous McFlurry toppings. I was a bit apprehensive about breaking my teeth, but it was perfectly fine.
Now, for the Frappe. Again, this isn’t anything groundbreaking in terms of flavour combinations, but I’m sure it’s bound to be the drink of dreams for Mini Egg fans.
Visually, it’s much nicer to look at than the McFlurry, I’d argue it’s actually quite aesthetic, as the pink and yellow in the Mini Egg dust sprinkled on top, really pops against the whipped cream.
The drink itself reminded me of a Nesquik chocolate milkshake, but it’s worth noting it’s a tad grainy due to the crushed mini Eggs mixed through the base.
If you like a smooth drink, this might not be the one for you, but personally, though, I enjoyed it.
