Court Rejects Trump’s Bid to End Legal Status for Venezuelan Migrants.

On Friday, a federal appeals court denied a request from U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration to proceed with the removal of temporary legal protections for approximately 350,000 Venezuelan migrants, putting them at risk of immediate deportation.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, located in San Francisco, chose not to suspend a lower-court ruling from March 31 that blocked Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s decision to end the temporary protected status previously granted to Venezuelans.
